The Mandrake Hotel, 20-21 Newman Street, London

A curated selection of exciting and daring works at Minor Attractions, a culture-driven art fair blending contemporary art, performance and nightlife at the Mandrake Hotel, Fitzrovia. With over 70 participating galleries, the fair operated as a catalyst within the city’s emerging art scene while establishing its position within the wider international commercial circuit.

The presentation occupied one of the hotel’s bedrooms, transforming the space into an immersive exhibition environment. Works were installed throughout the room, with the shower, bed, wardrobe and minibar repurposed as unexpected sites for display. Each day, visitors were invited to meet an artist in the space, encouraging direct exchange and informal discussion.
