Camila Barvo is a Colombian textile artist and designer who’s work explores soft sculpture by combining embroidery, video, and fibre/ fabric manipulation as powerful languages to document themes of femininity and identity. As a Latin American maker, her cultural heritage and material identity deeply informs her practice. Her work frequently incorporates materials like fique, jute, and coffee, thereby honouring and contributing to the celebration of Colombia’s material culture.
