Gold plated silver, jarina seed, amethyst
This ring reflects Helena’s exploration of binding as both form and concept, where materials are drawn together to hold memory and meaning. The piece features jarina seed, also known as vegetable ivory or tagua, an Amazonian material whose harvesting supports local communities and forest preservation. A single amethyst is set into the form, introducing warmth and luminosity against the soft natural tones of the material. Golden elements wrap and compress the surface in continuous lines, a recurring gesture in Helena’s work that speaks to preservation, attachment, and the act of carrying stories through the body.
A one-of-a-kind piece, hand sculpted by the artist.
