Oliver McConnie’s prints excavate medieval imagery, drawing its forms and symbols into contemporary tension. Working in etching, he builds layered scenes where ancient and modern anxieties converge. The visual language is provided by the grotesque, historically a space where fear and laughter, the sacred and the profane coexist in uneasy balance.
